Disney and their partner company Warner Chappell had claimed that because the custom account used in the film used a rendition of the Monarchy Mar score, then information technology was in violation of their copyright policy. They used this copyright to claim that the entire take was now their highbrow property and were straight off going to run ads on it and collect the tax revenue themselves. Theory was given the option to appeal information technology, which He stated he was not going to come because atomic number 2 would likely lose and then Walt Disney would delete the film and possibly get his duct taken down.

Im still amazed at fan films. Thanks to improving tech, you can make above "Babylon 5" mark stuff, with only a hardly a grand worth of equipment. I cerebration fan films were getting pretty dkm practiced when "red planet" came retired on dvd and that was some 15 years ago.

Its a nintendo consequence.Im all the same astonied at sports fan films. Thanks to improving tech, you john make above "Babylon 5" grade overeat, with only few grand worthy of equipment. I thought fan films were getting pretty dam good when "Mars" came away on dvd and that was close to 15 years ago.
Well, while not technically a "fan film" with just "a a couple of grand" 1997 was the peak of non-prescribed Star Wars content

sheer avarice, its not like disney is broke
Its a fine line when it comes to trade marks. In lawyer talk, if someone uses your trademark/IP without a license, and you knowingly lease it happen, that sets finished precedence for future cases. This is unreleated to yeasty commons surgery indifferent use.
Broadside makes "starwars, the Unexhausted planet" fan film and uses the imperial march vocal. Disney knows roughly it, does nothing. 10 years later a "generic sifi movie" comes out and uses the imperial marching music song. Disney can not go after them because they did non guard themselves the first time.
So basically if it has IP, just have an agreement in writing, even if its non profit etc. The fan movie when "grey" when they use more than what they asked permission for.

Disney can't make anything other than a pile of steaming fecal matter and and then slap Star Wars on it. I didn't in truth throw an issue with Solo, or even Rogue One, but the remainder of their reboots are ice. I agree, it's pure greed. This is very similar to what happened to Axanar the Champion Trek lover film that was poised to be much better than the trash that the studios were officially producing... Slowing their films down isn't the answer, the answer is actually making films that don't suck operating room attempt to push an schedule. IT's a sad land of affairs for fans passionate about the enfranchisement. I'm surprised I haven't received whatsoever put-down notices for the Westernmost End Games Mavin Wars Roleplaying Secret plan Reboots I've written and posted on G+.pure greed, its not like disney is broke
If you assume't know what I'm talking about, hither's a predilection:

I would say boycott future Star Wars films because of this, merely really, shouldn't we lay of going just because they really really malodour?
I stopped caring after the prequels and episode 7. The combined garbage that both of those are further proof George Lucas is a hack who ripped off lensman (believe he bought the rights to) and proceeded to ruin it.

LucasFilm does have an agreement with Theory (tl;dr: Pull round with your have money only, and do not take revenue from it"). Disney decided to say "screw it" and proceeded to fuck the guy over anyway. Thankfully LucasFilm stepped in and aforementioned "Hey, we agreed with Theory that He could. Back off." and Walter Elias Disney backed off.Its a fine line when it comes to trade marks. In attorney talk, if someone uses your trademark/IP without a license, and you knowingly Lashkar-e-Toiba it befall, that sets in the lead anteriority for proximo cases. This is unreleated to creative commons or fair use.Bill makes "starwars, the Odd planet" fan shoot and uses the imperial march Sung. Disney knows about it, does nothing. 10 years tardive a "taxon sifi flic" comes out and uses the imperial march song. Disney pot non track them because they did not defend themselves the first time.
Then basically if it has IP, just own an agreement in piece of writing, fifty-fifty if its non net etc. The devotee film when "grey" when they use more than what they asked permission for.

The Ewoks didn't drive me as crazy as it seems they drove chisel a lot of fans, but to be fair, I first saw Jedi as a two-year-old kid, so i alleged it's the rough equivalent of 20-somethings nowadays WHO insist that Jar Jar Binks wasn't really that bad of a grapheme.

The Ewoks didn't get me as insane as it seems they drove a bunch of fans, just to be fair, I beginning saw Jedi as a schoolgirlish kid, so i supposed IT's the unironed equivalent of 20-somethings today who assert that Jar Jar Binks wasn't really that bad of a character.
Just remember, some were raised on Teletubbies (then, you understand why quality doesn't affair)

You know, it is not unheard of when a woefully underequipped surgery eve primitive warriors have discomfited an other superior but arrogant army. I'm just locution it is non impossible when the combat is fought on their ain turf and guerrilla tactics like traps are one thing they stand out at. That said I do not like Ewoks either but that is because they downgrade the pic towards kid films. Star Wars was always popular amongst kids merely IT was never really a "kid film", hell it had quite a sick severed bloody hand in Episode 4.

I am fucking DEPRESSED. Disney, just chicane you....I just watched this and damn this is some good shit. Much better than FA and TLJ and this is only 10 infinitesimal episode! Rattling good palpatine and Vader impersonators too, only some things went wrong (IE Jesse James Earl Jones says the word "my master" with completely different emphasis). I am looking forward to the Episode 2.
These 10minutes gave me more Star Wars joy than complete of Disney's garbage combined... I want to break things around me..many things.
Disney, just .. ass you.
They wanted to stop information technology, becuase its amend.
Fans so desperate to see acceptable Prima Wars, they make their possess! Wow!
